Emma’s OT and PT were amazing and saw her on a weekly basis. We worked on all of the typical things most babies would be doing at Emma’s age and slowly noticed that Emma wasn’t doing some of those things. Around 4 months, Emma stopped tolerating tummy time. She would scream and cry when you put her on her tummy. We had no idea why and neither did the doctors. She wasn’t able to sit up on her own or put herself on all fours or crawl. She wasn’t able to see or hear very well either. Early Intervention brought in a vision teacher and hearing teacher for Emma. They also work with her to help create new pathways.
